After nearly two decades Marge Simon is stepping down as editor of STAR*LINE . As editor she introduced dozens of poets to the sf/f/h genres. Dozens of the poems she selected for the magazine were at the very least nominated for the Rhysling and some of them won. Through her work as an editor she deeply influenced and shasped sf/f/h poetry

It is easy to forget that she is an important poet in her own right. I can go into a long dissertation detailing her own career as a poet and editor but I think that the sheer number of poems picked by her that has been nominated for the $Rhysling speaks louder than anything I can say. As for her poetry she still has a large body of published work to be added to her resume.
